Why the blue cart?
Newsprint is pulped and made into new newsprint and paper products. It’s a clean, easily sorted fibre stream — as long as it stays dry, since soggy paper falls apart in sorting and can moulder in the cart.
Get it right
- Wet or food-soiled newspaper belongs in the green cart instead, where it composts.
- No need to remove glossy inserts or flyers — they’re accepted together.
- Skip the plastic sleeve delivery bags: empty them and add the bags to your bag of bags.
