Calgary recycling depots and drop-off locations
The right depot depends on the material. Community recycling bins, Eco Centres and fire-station hazardous-waste depots accept different things.

Community recycling depot directory
These City-listed sites accept household recycling. The City describes most as available 24 hours a day; Walden is open 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Check the live depot directory for access notices and exact bin placement.

Eco Centres and hazardous-waste locations
Eco Centres are at Spyhill, East Calgary and Shepard landfills. See addresses, opening hours and fees. Eligible free materials are free only when your load contains no chargeable material.
Use the City’s hazardous-waste acceptance and location links to choose a designated fire-station depot. These facilities have different limits: for example, fluorescent tubes up to four feet long are limited to three per visit at fire-station depots and eight at Eco Centres. Damaged batteries and several specialist items require an Eco Centre.
