Why the black cart?
Garden hoses are the single most notorious “tangler” at recycling facilities — workers call them and their kind the reason sorting lines stop. No municipal program accepts them; the black cart is the only cart option.
Get it right
- Coil and tie the hose so it stays contained in the cart.
- A leaky hose can be repaired with a $3 coupler — or repurposed as a soaker hose by punching holes in it.
